Clinton Cougar Newsletter
October 2020
Dear Clinton Families,
This week we welcomed back all our students to a 4 day a week schedule. The students are happy to be together with friends again, and we are happy to see them all too!
With over 400 students and parents gathering at the start of the school day, we need some help keeping our safety protocols in place. Please encourage your students to arrive close to the start of school, between 8:40-8:45, wear their mask, and go directly to their line up spot. Playgrounds are not open before school, and it's not a good time to gather and socialize (other than from their line up spot). Parents are encouraged to wear a mask, and be cautious of their physical distance with students who are not their own. We know that socializing is an important part of school and our recesses are divided into smaller groups that allow for this. At recess our students can take a mask break and socialize while still being cautious of physical distancing.
Teachers will continue to provide remote learning work on Fridays via Canvas.
Thank you for supporting our Wasatch Savings fundraiser event. Please return books, or money by Friday, October 2nd. We are using the funds this year to help us update some of our older student devices. We appreciate your support!
Sincerely,

For the month of October, we will continue focusing on including others, diversity, and then moving onto empathy and critical thinking skills. We will be learning about the power that our thoughts have and if they tend to lift or lower us, make things easier or harder, and are helpful or hurtful. Please talk with your children about the importance of inclusion, diversity, empathy and the power of our thoughts.
