September: Reading, Relationships, and Routine
Hello,
What a wonderful start to the school year! Students are settling in to a routine and getting to know their classmates and teachers. Teachers are digging into the NWEA MAP screener data and planning instruction based on student needs. Student reports were emailed on Friday, September 3rd.
Electives, PE and Story Time have all started this month.
You will see a class connect invite to Story Time on your student's schedule Monday through Thursday each week. This time is optional, but will soon become a favorite time for everyone. Every member of the Kindergarten through 2nd grade team will be inviting students to a class to listen to a story. Even non-readers can develop a larger vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension skills by listening to a story being read aloud to them. We want to instill a love of reading to all students because it is an important skill they will need as they move up in their education.Mrs. Karin Campbell
