Congratulations to our Tigers who participated in the Austin Regional Science Fair. We are proud of you! You may recall that the judges awarded our campus top 3 ribbons to: MaKenzie Thomas 1st place, Lenya Mithun 2nd place, and Phillip O'Brien 3rd place.
After our campus Science Fair, West Cypress sent fourteen Tigers on to the Austin Regional Science Fair. There, we are thrilled to report that out of 1,600 participants, 3 of our Tigers received Special Awards. Less than 30 Special Awards were awarded by the judges that day. Lenya Mithun received the Austin Parks Foundation Young Environmentalists Award. Sarva Iyer and Phillip O'Brien each were named Health Through Science Diploma Candidates. Congratulations, Lenya, Sarva, and Phillip!
All fourteen of our Tiger Austin Regional Science Fair participants received 1st or 2nd place ribbons! How exciting!!!!!
First Place ribbons went to Ava Funk, Sarva Iyer, Jaxon Stabeno-Bazan, Eddison Spodick, Ishaan Raj, London Shehan, Lenya Mithun, Phillip O'Brien, and Joanna Koshy.
Second Place ribbons were awarded to MaKenzie Thomas, Dayne Grant, Cristiano Catania, Pearce Johnson, and Brando Killelea.

Tiger 5th Grader, Logan Gramling, Qualifies for West Austin Chamber Spelling Bee!
We are very excited to report that our very own Spelling Bee Champion, Logan Gramling, qualified to participate in the West Austin Chamber of Commerce Spelling Bee. Only 48 spellers from this region qualified to participate in this event, and Logan is one of them!
The West Austin Chamber of Commerce Spelling Bee will be held at The Church at Canyon Creek on March 24.
Congratulations and best wishes to Logan! We are very proud that he is representing West Cypress Hills. Go, Logan, Go! Spell, Logan, Spell!

Tigers Jackson Brown and Bria Roeder Have Art on Exhibit at the LT Community Library
The 2020 Youth Art Month Exhibition will be on display at the Lake Travis Community Library from March 2 through March 29. Be sure to see this exciting exhibition of students' works of art--especially since two of the items on exhibit belong to WCHE Tigers!

WCHE Tiger Honor Choir Wows the Crowd at Singapalooza 2020!

The highlight of the evening was when all of the schools' honor choirs came together to sing "A Million Dreams."

Do we get to eat pie on Pi Day?
The simple answer? Yes! The mathematical number Pi is used to calculate the area of a circle, and its first three digits are 3.14. Pie, the dessert, is traditionally baked in a circular pan, which makes it the perfect treat for March 14, or 3.14. Also, eating some pie on March 14th is a great way to wish Albert Einstein a Happy Birthday! Curious to learn more? You can read all about it here and read down for all kinds of great ways to celebrate 3.14 :)
Wall of Fame for Shoe Tying!
If your Kinder, 1st Grader, and/or Second Grader can tie his/her shoes, please notify Coaches Mirizzi and Cadorette because they want to honor this accomplishment in the school gym on our WALL OF FAME FOR SHOE TYING!
Once notified of the student's successful shoe-tying accomplishment, we will provide your student with a paper shoe to color, take the student's photo, and then post the photo and customized paper shoe on our WALL OF FAME FOR SHOE TYING!
It's going to be really exciting to see our young Tigers on our WALL OF FAME!
