· Date of bus change
· Bus or student with whom they will be going.
· Who they are getting off the bus with. If going home with a friend, BOTH STUDENTS MUST HAVE A NOTE.

THIS IS SCHOOL POLICY! We do make an effort to get in touch with parents in these situations, but it is not always possible.
Please note: Mr. Olden/Shank’s bus that covers Route 11 and the Shippensburg/Newville area is at full capacity, so extra students are not permitted on the bus. Students on that route wishing to bring students home with them, other arrangements must be made.

EXTENDED CARE ANNOUNCEMENT:
ELEMENTARY BIBLE MEMORY PROGRAM
The Bible memory listeners began listening to the elementary school students on Monday, September 8. We are off to a good start! To help your students, please encourage them to review their verses several times during the week until they know them well for Monday mornings. Also, it is very important that your student(s) bring their Bible memory books to school with them on Monday mornings! Grades K, 1, and 2 receive awards based on the total number of verses that they recite. They get cards which they trade in for prizes from the prize box. The cards are awarded after every 10 verses (or if they are just beginning the program in kindergarten or are a new student, they receive a card after their first 6 verses then after every 10 verses). They get credit for teacher verses as well as extra verses that are listed on the slips in the front of their books (or in the case of kindergarten in the section following their teacher verses). Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 are eligible to participate in the Camp Joy El Bible Released Time Program. Beginning in a few weeks at lunchtime on Mondays, I will go to their classrooms to help them earn points for awards as well as discounts for attending camp at Camp Joy El. More information will be given to your student(s) soon. At the end of the year, the top three students in each class receive certificates and recognition for the many verses that they have memorized. A Lifeway gift card is presented to the top student in lower elementary (grades K, 1, and 2) and the top student in upper elementary (grades 3, 4, and 5). Best of all, they will know God’s Word to guide them throughout their lives! If you have any questions about how this program works, please call me at 717-264-0796 or e-mail me at pamac@comcast.net.
