The Power of a few words

Before spring break, Mrs. Black's students spent two days in the Cardinal Makerspace working on posters. The challenge was to convince the viewer with an image and 6 words or less. Students were asked to select a social issue such as texting and driving or drug and alcohol abuse and create a poster with their own tag line that reflected their personal opinion. We also went "old school" with the production of the poster with construction paper, markers and colored pencils. It was a good opportunity for students to get actual hands on practice at assembling a finished product without digital help.

Here is a sampling of some of the posters that were produced.

Convince Me

The library bulletin board has food for thought.
