MRHS Taking the Lead!
The Cape Cod Potters and the Cape Cod Regional Technical High school are sponsoring the 25th annual Soup Bowls for Hunger on Wednesday, April 11.
Once again students in the Advanced Ceramics classes at Monomoy Regional High School are lending their support by creating and donating over a dozen bowls for the event.
Tickets are $18 and include soup, bread and a hand-crafted pottery bowl which participants can take home as a reminder of the meal's purpose: helping to feed those in need on Cape Cod.

Shark "Shout Outs" MRHS's way of Appreciating the Great People That Make Our School "A Home Away From Home" Please share any good news with us!
A big thank you to two awesome gentlemen: Nick Seeley and Lance Manning (pictured above) for helping me out and changing my tire during Jawesome! You two turned a stressful morning into a day in which I’m grateful to have colleagues and students who go out of their way to be kind and helpful. Thank you!!
Ms. Jutras
I would like to give a shark shout out to Mr. Cass. This morning my computer wasn't logging in to my account and it kept shutting down. My laptop isn't a school Chromebook, it's a MacBook, so taking it to the tech office wouldn't help me much. Ms. Wheaton suggested bringing it to Mr. Cass and he Cass took time out of his day (while he had a class) to help me fix my computer. It took about an hour and I really appreciated it because I really needed it for a presentation 4th block. Mr. Cass is the best!
Thanks,
Emma Bowden
Good morning. Just a quick email to thank everyone for their flexibility yesterday regarding our 2nd Annual Monomoy Job Fair. Although the Fair had been rescheduled, due to the wild weather in March, we had a good turn out and our business partners had many applicants. In addition, our students earned high marks for their mature approach to the Fair.
A special thanks to our physical education staff (Stacy, Marcus, & Emily) as well as Cliff and his team for all their assistance!
Have a great weekend
Dave Alexander
Shark Shout-Out to Marcia Flavell who has been making students delicious gourmet breakfasts each MCAS day to ensure their minds are ready and their tummy's are full. She has quite a spread of breakfast items for students!

Wanted to send a shout out/message for the staff members in my room:
Lisa: for not just being amazing with students, but for being willing to help all students anytime. Also you still make the best pancakes and grilled cheese.
Linda: for all your effort with the students in their inclusion; small group; and elective classes. They are thriving in those classes because of that extra effort you put in. Also, thank you for occasionally having to help me cover groups due to meetings etc. Again your care and concern for the children second to none.
Jon: you brighten up that room every second of every day. Never have I seen you with anything but kind word or thought. Also, your extra work to help the kids with their moderate English class has been amazing.
Nick: you've done an amazing job in your 1st year-one would think you've been here 10 years already. Thank you for all you do daily.
Taylor: there's nothing I believe you cant do or help with. You do an amazing job and the progress the students you help with is amazing.
I cant ever say enough about all of you except thank you.
John Herring M.Ed.

Important Opportunity for the Monomoy Community
Dear Parent, Grandparents and Community Members;
We are pleased to announce a special event coming to Monomoy High School next Thursday, April 12th. The 56-minute documentary ANGST explores anxiety, its causes, effects and what kids and parents can do about it. With anxiety disorders on the rise in the United States, the film is reflecting what we see. Anxiety is the precursor to so many mental health challenges. 40 million people in the United States seek help every year for anxiety but research shows that more than 30% do not.
By opening a dialogue and normalizing (not trivializing) anxiety we can help each other and ourselves. In the process, we may positively affect homelessness, addiction, suicide and a host of other issues. These screenings bring kids, parents, and educators together to talk about this universal issue, share personal stories, and provide resources and tools. There is power in solidarity. The more you share, the more we connect.
Parents, youth, and the community will be able to see ANGST during an evening screening on Thursday, April 12th at Monomoy Regional High School at 6:30 p.m. For more information, you can visit the filmmaker’s website atwww.angstmovie.com
The film is 56 minutes long with a panel discussion and Q & A following. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the high school or Sheila House at Harwich Youth Services at (508) 430-7836.
