News and updates for families of Inspire students
May 20, 2021
Dear Inspire Families,
Is it really the week before school gets out? My goodness, this has been quite a year. As we approach the last few days of school and the planned celebrations for our students, it occurs to me we haven't really had the time to reflect on all this year has meant. There have been losses, hardship, too many changes to count, but also moments of tremendous joy and hope, when we saw students and staff reach beyond their themselves in order to care for others. I hope that you and your families have the time and rest and space this summer to reconnect and find restoration.
Get ready for one "gnarly night", because the Hawk's Nest Studios 2021 Video Showcase is TOMORROW, May 21st at 7 PM. In Erin Hall's words, Video Club has been working tirelessly to make this "the most tubular, nay, bodacious, Video Showcase Inspire has ever seen! Come celebrate the (insert descriptive 80's language, here) accomplishments of Hawk's Nest Studios with us."
On Saturday, May 22 , Inspire is hosting a Drive-in Movie Night at Meriam Park. We're excited about this chance to dress up, be silly, and enjoy the classic film Grease with our community. Hope you can make it!
If you missed it, we hope you get the chance to watch our 2021 Senior Awards Night video. This celebration of the outstanding accomplishments of our seniors will inspire you and give you hope for the capacity of our young people to change the world for the better.
On June 1, senior families will gather for our 2021 Inspire Graduation ceremony. This drive-in event at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds will feature performances and speeches on the big screen, along with a live presentation of diplomas awarded to our deserving graduates. We are so excited to share this moment with you!
Next week, we'll celebrate the Last Day of School on Friday, May 28. Students will gather in Advisories to celebrate the end of the school year, participate in fun activities, and talk about what next year will look like.
As always, I welcome your questions, concerns, and good ideas! Feel free to call or email any time.
With gratitude and hope,
Becky Brown

Summer School Offered for June 14 - July 14
Inspire School of Arts and Sciences' online summer school program will be offered through a hybrid learning model: Students complete work online via Edgenuity, but attend school in-person. Inspire will be offering a four-week Summer School Session from June 14 through July 14 from 8:00 to noon each day. Students will come to campus daily, log into Edgenuity, and complete the work with support from an Inspire teacher.

Inspire Digital Media Arts Teacher Erin Hall Honored
Erin models for students what adulthood could look like when you’re passionate about your work, when you take joy in it, when you’re always learning. When we ask students, “Who’s your person, your trusted adult on campus?” it’s so often Erin. He helps them become artists, thinkers, and do-ers capable of--not just being in the world--but changing it. We are so grateful to Rotary for the opportunity to shout about what Erin does for Inspire students and for the larger community. Erin, we see you. We value your commitment to students. We honor your craft. We are so proud of you!

Inspire Performing Arts Boosters
People always ask: “How can we/I help?”
Usual response is: “Fill our seats, spread the word to increase our audiences, make a program ad purchase, get goodies at the concessions booth, or donate time and items when called for.”
For ten years, this has been enough, but now these ways to help the Performing Arts have been obliterated by the pandemic. After waiting a year for things to improve, we have decided to form a new plan and WE NEED YOU! We have created an Inspire Performing Arts (IPA) Boosters Program. All donations will go directly to our programming and are tax deductible. We need to get through this and allow our students to have the amazing learning opportunities they deserve even if they look a little different.
Click here to visit our Boosters Website to find out how you can get involved!
