Personal InfoMy passenger's name is Elsie Doling, she was born on Monday, October 30, 1893. She was 18 years old when she was on the Titanic. Elsie had two friends named, Ada Julia, and Henry Hodges. Ada survived with Elsie when the ship started to sink. Henry died by helping Ada and Elsie.
The Titanic was 882 feet long with nine decks as high as an eleven-story building. Her gigantic features, she had four huge funnels, two million rivets had been hammered into her hull. Her three anchors weighted the total of 31 tons. The rooms that Elsie was in was very old fashion lady like, it was small, but it look confront.
On April 14, 1912, at 7:30 the radio room received three more ice warnings about fifty miles ahead. But one of them was the from the steamer Californian reporting three iceberg warnings. It was 11:40 p.m. suddenly, Fleet, on of the crew members saw a dark shape which happens to be an iceberg directly ahead of the Titanic. They had avoided a head-on crash, but the iceberg had a struck a glancing blow along the Titanic's starboard bow. At 12:30 Captain Smith gave the orders to unload the lifeboats. 12:45, the first lifeboat was lowered it could carry sixty-five people, but left with only twenty-eight aboard.
After her rescue of the Carpathia, Miss Doling and her relative, Ada returned to the England board the Philadelphia on May 11, 1912.
