How will you be remembered?
Most of us end up with no more than five or six people who remember us. Teachers have thousands of people who remember them for the rest of their lives.
When reading this quote think of the characteristics of the teachers that you remember. Why do you remember them? Hopefully it is because they had a positive impact on you rather than a negative one. Now ask yourself this: of the thousands of students who will remember you, how will they remember you? From what I see around our hallways and classrooms it will be an extremely positive recollection for our future PHS alumni. I know that all of you keep this in mind as you continue to challenge our students to excel while at the same time fostering the kind of relationships that are so critical to their social and emotional well being! Thank you!

What is it?
Globaloria is an online learning platform oriented to K-12 curricula to teach students to design, prototype, and code educational web/mobile games and simulations with industry-standard technology as a means of learning content and creative innovation skills.
Student-directed pacing and learning
Students work at their own pace (within reason) and learn how to code and create educational games
Example of Learning Activity
As part of their content today, students were creating a scoreboard using Javascript
Classroom Spotlight - Globaloria Godin
Mr. Godin was charged with taking on a technology initiative to further our existing Globaloria (see definition above) curriculum begun by the Middle School last year. Students in Mr. Godin's classes can be seen creating educational games form concept to completion while at the same time crossing the curriculum by incorporating things they are learning from their other classes into these games. Some of the content you other educators are teaching could be taking on the form of a Globaloria game! This is an exciting, student-led learning environment that exemplifies engagement at its highest level. Ask Mr. Godin for details. Keep up the good work, Mahx.
