Happy Thanksgiving to you ALL!

Welcome! Our learning goals for the week of 11/17-11/22!!

Come One, Come All!!

Hello parents and students!

It has been a joy to transition into Tidwell Middle School and get to know all your sweet, smiling faces! Each week (with the exception of Holiday Weeks), you all will be receiving this newsletter from me hoping that you will be able to follow along and meet each day's expectations (*also, so mom and dad can keep up with our daily goals, as well*)! :)

Learning S'more about Short Stories!

First a foremost, do not forget that we have our Unit 5 Vocabulary quiz (1-15) on Monday (11/17/14), so study, study, study!!

This week, we are going to be reading a short story written by one of my favorite authors, Langston Hughes! I hope you enjoy him as much as I do!

All these activities and readings we have been partaking in are helping prepare us for our Unit 2, E.A. #1, short stories. We plan to have our short stories completed by Friday, 11/22/14. I look forward to seeing what your imaginations can come up with! :-)

Parents...

It has been a joy getting to know your students so far this year. If you have any questions or concerns for me, please feel free to e-mail me at:

mhart@nisdtx.org

I will always be available for you or your students. I will provide tutoring hours everyday before school from 8:45-9:15; after school from 4:30-4:50; and during lunches, so long as the student gives me advanced notice.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to grow with your children, and spend each day developing their character and intelligence! Only 10 days in and I can say with complete honesty that I adore each and everyone of your kids!

All About Mrs. Hart!!

I grew up in The Colony, TX and I am a graduate of UNT. I have a wonderful husband and adorable dog (pictured with me). I love to spend my time with them or read any chance I can get. Teaching has always been a passion and dream of mine! I am thrilled my dreams are finally coming true at Tidwell Middle School and with your students!
