Zoo for Grade 2

This morning, Whitney's second graders took a field trip to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Mother Nature cooperated and provided a perfect day for the long walks that are part of the zoo experience. The outing was FUN, inexpensive, and a great educational experience. Thanks to Mrs. Tome and Mrs. McKinley for making all the arrangements. Thanks also to the eight moms who volunteered to accompany us. That allowed the teachers to divide the grade into very small groups, making supervision much easier. If you have not been to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo lately, I suggest you take the family this summer.

Please consider helping at this month's Rockin at the Rec. It is for current 5-7th grade Strongsville residents. This month's theme is DARE. If you help with any of the positions, your child will receive a free ticket to the dance. Contact Robin Micko with any questions, rcmicko@gmail.com

New Regulations Result in Changes When Writing Checks At School

Due to changes in federal banking regulations all check payments must be made payable to Strongsville City Schools which reflects the name on the District bank account. The bank will no longer be able to accept checks made out to individual school buildings, i.e. Muraski Elementary School, or Strongsville High School, etc.

This includes ALL checks received whether it is for food service, field trips, prom, pay-to-play, trainer fee, transcripts, school fees/fines, fund-raisers, etc. We encourage families to use the PayForIt (PFI) system when applicable. Click HERE for more information on Strongsville's PFI system.

FINAL REMINDER - To all students who have school library books - THEY ARE OVERDUE!! Please do not make the office add an owed book fee to your student's account. Bring that book in next week - PLEASE!
