WOW. Talk about an amazing "roll call"! AND...TWELVE of those students are on Principal's Honor. Congratulations!!!

SPOTLIGHT ON...
Congratulations to the following Drama Club members for their recent scholarships for arts related activities!
Junior Rachel George
Rachel is the recipient of the "Gretchen Snedeker Memorial Endowed Scholarship" as the principal horn player in the Hochstein Youth Symphony Orchestra. The scholarship provides full tuition for a year at Hochstein.
It is important to note that Gretchen Snedeker was an exceptional musician and performer who graduated from Newark High School in 2001. During her time at NHS she received Stars of Tomorrow recognition and an Elenbe award for her performances in plays and musicals. However, french horn was her passion. She was a candidate for a master's degree in horn performance at the Eastman School of Music when she was tragically killed in a car accident in 2008. It is a wonderful legacy that this memorial scholarship went to another NHS musician.
Senior Isabella Bailey
Isabella is the recipient of the "Karl F. Hueglin Scholarship". This scholarship grants a full scholarship to the 2020 NYSTEA Student Conference. It recognizes students who have a passion in technical theatre.
Junior Isabelle Figueroa
Isabelle is the recipient of a full scholarship to the 2020 NYSTEA Student Conference. The NYSTEA Scholarship sponsored by the NYSTEA Conference Committee was open to Juniors considering pursuing a degree in Theatrical Arts.
BRAVO to all three scholarship winners!
