Monday, December 4th- Penny Drive
- Please help us donate to Garfield Elementary's Community School. Here's a message from them: Garfield Elementary has a goal to make sure no students or their family go hungry. One way we fight hunger in our school is by having a food pantry right in our building. The food pantry is just like a mini grocery store except everything is free. Families can shop for things like milk, meat, canned food, fruits and vegetables. In the month of November we had over 260 people shop at our store feeding more than 150 children. You know the saying “every penny counts” well it is true. Your coins will help fill Garfield’s store with healthy food to share. So gather all your pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters too and together we can make sure no student will have to miss a meal!
