From the Principal
Dear Parents,
What an exciting week back after the Thanksgiving Break! As you know, these next few weeks are super busy with many after school events and parties. Tonight, Milton is playing in the final four 7A playoffs and we are so excited to see many of our Colts at Denmark High School. Remember, this is a location change due to size. Denmark is just across the county line in Forsyth. Our entire community is so excited to support the Eagles as they hopefully head towards a state championship. Tickets can be purchased online here: https://gofan.co/app/events/44371
December is my favorite time of year because I receive so many holiday cards from our beautiful Colt families. We have already started our board in the office, so I hope you make a note to send us a card for display. Our entire staff loves seeing what our families send in and I literally have cards saved from many years past. These are always such a hit!
Over the break, a parent shared an interesting article with me and I have seen a few of you post this on Twitter as well. I thought it would be good to share with our entire community. This article sheds light on the challenges our children face.
I hope you have a great weekend. I am so excited all of my favorite football teams are still winning: Milton, Clemson, and the Texans! This is the final weekend of college football pending bowl games etc. I want to wish the Georgia Bulldogs and the Clemson Tigers much success in the SEC and ACC Championship games! Shhhh, don’t tell Mr. Abel, he is rooting for the Crimson Tide!
Evening of the Arts - 12/4/18
Plan to join us for Fine Arts Night next Tuesday, December 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Chorus and Orff Musical groups will be performing in the Cafeteria. Each student will have a framed work of art on display in the Gym. These high quality, double matted frames will be available for purchase for $25 each, cash or check only. You may purchase frames in advance using a credit or debit card on the Online Student Payment site by clicking here:
Online framing orders will be accepted until this Sunday, December 2nd. Remember, this is your only opportunity to purchase frames with a credit or debit card. Cash or check are the only forms of payment accepted at the Art Show on December 4th.
All proceeds from framing sales go toward the purchase of art supplies for CCES students.
Thank you for your support!
