What we are learning this week.
Math: We’ll have a math test on Monday, Dec. 14th. After that, our time will be spent exploring math websites that give us more information about geometric shapes. When we return in January, we’ll continue our study of polygons, comparing attributes of 3D shapes, and review area using our knowledge about arrays.
Science: We are finishing up landforms this week and will have a test on Pre-Test on Monday.
Social Studies: We will be finishing geography by taking a trip to different countries in the classroom. Ask your child what urban community means.
Reading: We will be studying the genre of biography and autobiography and seeing what they have in common. This will be the intro into our first research activity that the students will beginning the following week.
Writing: We have concluded our stories on nonfiction literacy. We will write on family holidays and memories. Ask your child what holiday they are writing on.
