Preschool News

This Week

This week has been a busy week here in Preschool. We wrapped up our Recycling theme and walked to the recycling bin behind Smokey Row. The students really loved sorting the items they have brought into the appropriate bins. We also created a band out of the recycled items, took a virtual tour of a recycling center, and created some art using recycled magazines and other recycled items. Next week, we are moving into our Flower study.

We also finished up our Three Little Pigs ministudy. We really concentrated on the characters of the story, the setting, and the sequence. Over the last two weeks, we have read many different versions of the story and even compared a few.

We focused on letter Nn and number 19. The kiddos learned how to create the letter and the sound; our Alphafriend was Nyle Noodle. Next week, we are learning our very last letter, which is K and number 20!

We had our warm fuzzy party on Tuesday and celebrated by eating popcorn and watching Fireman Sam! The kiddos are now working towards playing on the "big kid" playground. We have already earned half of our goal!!
