Red Ribbon Week

Next week is Red Ribbon Week! We are going to be celebrating at school by having different dress up days for each day of the week.

Red Ribbon Week was started in 1985 by the National Federation of Parents for Drug Free Youth. It has been celebrated every year since then as a way to educatate youth on the harmful effects that drugs can have and encourage them to be drug free.

This year's Red Ribbon Week Theme is Drug Free Looks Like Me!

Here are our dress up days for next week:

Monday: Follow Your Dreams (Wear Your Pajamas)

Tuesday: Put a Cap on Drugs (Hat Day)

Wednesday: Drugs Are Crazy (wear crazy hair/socks)

Thursday: Our School is Drug Free (Wear your bobcat attire or school colors)

Friday: Drugs Are Scary (Wear your Halloween Costume)

COLD Weather

The cold weather is here! Please make sure that your child has a heavy coat, hat, and gloves each day. It is cold outside when the students get off the bus or arrive at school and they are waiting outside and also when they have their first recess. Please let us know if you need assistance in getting these items for your child as we would love to help.
