***Room Parents Needed!***
Please check your child's backpack for a Room Parent form. Simmons room parents help to plan and run classroom parties at Halloween, Winter Fun and End of Year. Complete and return the form if you would like to help!
Head Room Parents will be contacted the week of September 16th and invited to our Head Room Parent Breakfast on September 27th.

Please Note: All Room parents must have an HHSD Volunteer Badge.

Join us for our first HSA event of the year, Movie Night! We'll be showing How to Train Your Dragon 3! Families can arrive starting at 7:00 pm, the movie will start around 7:30pm. This is a free event sponsored by the HSA. Popcorn, candy and water will be available for purchase. The movie will be shown at the back of Simmons by the playground. In case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown inside. Please note that this is NOT a drop off event. Parents & Guardians are responsible for their children during the event. ***Fall Into Fitness 5K***
Sunday, October 20th @ 8:30am
Join us as we "Fall Into Fitness" and host our 9th Annual 5K & 1-Mile Run/Walk at Simmons! This is one of the biggest events for the Home and School Association! The money raised from this event supports Assemblies, Classroom Startup Funds, Grants by Grade, Author Visits/Library Programs, Special Projects and more.

Once again, there will be an All-School event during the school day on Friday, October 18th. The Fall Into Fitness Run-Walk-A-Thon is a way to get all of our students moving because we know some cannot make the 5K event. Donations are encouraged and the students from each grade who raise the most money will receive a prize. Donation pages can be set up online through the Race Link and can be shared with friends and family. More information on setting up online fundraising pages online will come home in the next few weeks. All money raised from this event will be used to benefit our school!

Simmons Library Volunteers Needed
Jarrett Nature Center Open House
Any adult who will be in the classrooms (for any reason) or for field trips are required to have a volunteer photo i.d. badge issued by the Hatboro-Horsham School District. The required clearances are free and any adult (including parents, grandparents and other family members) can complete the process. The volunteer credentials are good for five years. We appreciate the time and commitment that our volunteers offer to enhance our school!
