Music & Audio
Advanced Music and Audio students received some work-based learning helping Mr. Brindis install Dolby Atmos speakers into the studio!!! Students in the Music Audio Video program will now mix music in Dolby Atmos! Dolby Atmos is the latest technology for audio playback. It allows the listener to be submersed in audio. Sound comes from the front, sides, rear, and above the listener. This technology is used in film, video games, and now music. Additionally, we can effectively make the sound 3 dimensional in a set of conventional headphones by creating a binaural stereo down mix.
This has now created a tremendous need in the audio industry for engineers versed in Dolby Atmos; as most existing music catalogues are being remixed in Dolby Atmos to enhance the listening experience.
LHHS is currently the first high school in the world to offer this technology to our students!!
Stagecraft
Our stagecraft students designed and operated everything from lighting to costuming and everything in between. In addition, our department also held its annual induction ceremony for our CTSO the International Thespian Society. If you see one of our students, be sure to congratulate them!
Software & App Design
Students in Intermediate Software and App Design created Maze Games in GameMaker software. They used their creativity to meet the rubric requirements that included collision, collectibles, enemies, multiple rooms and more. Aiden (Haibo) F and Kaden V.'s game screen shots are featured below.
Marketing
Marketing students recently met with our Stakeholders: RiverScene Magazine & Anthony Oskolkoff Farmers Insurance Agency. They are now setting plans to reach their three goals. Our next exciting event is our Little Council Convention where ALL of the Student Councils in the district get together for a leadership workshop day at our High School. We are so proud of how all of our students are growing and becoming even stronger student leaders than when the year started.
