Bison Brief

Principal's Message

Good afternoon BTES Families,

After school programs begin on Tuesday, when we return from a holiday weekend. Our teacher sponsors are looking forward to working with the students in a variety of fun and challenging activities. Thanks in advance for being on time to pick up your child/children. if you are going to carpool, please send in a note to your chld's teacher so we know who is authorized for pick up.

I also hope you've found some fun ways to spend time indoors as we experienced the rainstorms this weekend. Cooler temperatures this week mean sweaters and jackets for students. Please be sure to put your child's name in their belongings so we can return them if they get left behind. We do have a lost and found to look for things that are not otherwise identified.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Rogaliner,

Principal.

School News

1. THANK YOU SHOUT OUTS!

· Family responses to supply goodies in the teachers' lounge has been very kind. Teachers are very appreciative of these pick-me-ups that are being shared! The amazon wish list is still available at : Amazon.com You can use the school address for shipping purposes. 42190 Seven Hills Drive, Aldie VA, 20215

  • Most recently, Anand Kumar supported the team! Thanks so very much!
  • To Mr. and Mrs. Srour and family For the kindergarten courtyard donations! The students really love the kitchen set up, large building blocks and a bean bag toss game. What great things to share with our youngest bison and a great use of our school courtyard.

3. After school programs begin on Tuesday. Teachers are very excited about these wonderful extension opportunities for the students. Parents, please remember to be on time for student pick up!

4. CAR RIDER/ Walker ALERT – Did you know:

  • U turns are not legal in the middle of a street?
  • Crossing the street is only legal at road way intersections and/or where the road is designated as a cross walk?
  • Students may not cross Seven Hills alone? They must have an adult’s assistance.
  • Students should never be dropped off in a turn lane?

Yet. sadly, these things sometime happen outside our school at morning arrival. Please keep our students, staff and yourself safe by following traffic laws and school safety protocols.

5. Back to School Bash is really coming this week! Thanks again to our PTA Board, Admin team and fabulous parent and teacher volunteers for a wonderful event!! Bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the great food and catch up with your school community neighbors!

6. Pets not allowed on school property. We love seeing pictures of fur babiies and sharing fun stories about them. Unfortuntely, they should not be visitig the school during school hours or school events. Noise, crowds and excited children can be traumatic for pets. It only takes one time for a negative reaction, and someone could be hurt. Please keep pets and students safe by keeping pets at home.
