WATERFORD MISSION
At Waterford Elementary we believe in all students and staff learning and growing together; where innovation, diversity, and relationships are valued.
WATERFORD VISION
Waterford Elementary School
Goshen's Opportunity for a Productive Tomorrow
Choose Your Attitude, Make Their Day, Be Present, Play
Choose Your Attitude
Jenni Bontreger graciously volunteered to help the corporation when transportation was short a bus para for the afternoon route from 2:15 - 5:00. In the end she was not needed, but what a great attitude of giving that Jenni demonstrated. Thanks Jenni!!
Make Their Day
Our students day was definitely made by the gracious giving of food and gifts by the Bethany Christian School Community. We are blessed to have this great relationship with them.
Be Present
The Related Arts Cluster was present early, early, early on Monday morning. They were digging into their student work to intentionally plan questions to ask during a lesson. Jama modeled with her student work and provided examples to help support her group’s Cluster learning.
Play
There was a lot of play occurring while Julea was reading It's Christmas, David! to Seth this week. At the end of the story Seth said, "This dudes just like me!!" For those of you who are familiar with the David books and Seth...Yep! He nailed it!! :)
TLT Update
During TLT on Thursday, we focused on developing a Long Range Plan for Cluster Cycle II specific to the needs of students and teachers (Primary, Intermediate, and Related Arts). Based on our student and teacher need, Cluster Cycle II will be focusing on continuing to deepen teacher “toolboxes” through instructional best practices. More information will be forthcoming about Cluster days/times/groupings.
Reminder: Unannounced Observations
Please be reminded of the following regarding "unannounced" observations:
During you "unannounced" window, your evaluator will ask you for dates and/or times that may not be best for you to be observed. Based on your input, these dates will be avoided. However, please remember that entire content areas or specific grade level classes are not exempt from observations during your "unannounced" window.
