Mustang Monday Message
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
An important reminder that TODAY, the 21st, students will go home at noon. Lunch will be provided an hour earlier than the typical time.
We would also like to remind parents that the south-east pick up lane is for buses only. The bus drivers get really nervous seeing cars and students in their lanes. For the safety of our students, we would ask that all parents use the north drop off lane. We would also ask that parents do not walk onto the playground unless they have signed in at the office. Our staff and students need to be able to quickly identify the adults on our school property.
Another important item of safety are our doors. All doors, aside from the main doors, are locked throughout the day. Our first morning bell rings at 8:50. At 8:50, teachers come outside to pick up their class. After the class goes inside, the doors lock. If your child comes after the class has gone inside, he/she will need to use the main door to enter. The second morning bell rings at 9 a.m. If your students comes after the second bell, they are late and will need to go to the office to check-in.
We recognize that at times these protocols seem inconvenient, but I can assure you that much deliberation goes into making each decision. The driving factor when making these decisions is to ensure that we are doing every thing possible to keep our students safe!
Throughout the school district we are understaffed with lunch ladies, bus drivers, and substitute teachers. If you are interested in helping out, we would love to see you apply for one of these jobs! Email me if you would like to know how!
We could not be more proud of our Mustangs! We recognize the challenging times that we are in and are so impressed by their hard work, kindness, positivity, and the care they offer to others. Our Mustangs are truly a bright spot in our lives!
Thank you for your support! Best wishes,
Principal Balli
