Big Bike challenge

Thank you for supporting our Big Bike challenge over the last fortnight. We were really impressed with the large number of children who biked, scooted, or walked at least part of the way to school. Not only is this healthy, but it is good for the environment and helps to reduce traffic around the school site. If you enjoyed that method of transportation, please do try to keep it going in future.

Learning Reviews

Thank you for attending Learning Reviews last Friday. We hope that you found these valuable in understanding your child’s current learning strengths and challenges. If you were unable to attend for any reason, please contact your child’s teacher to arrange another appointment as it is important that meetings are held for every child.

As you may be aware, a change in the law means that Ofsted can now inspect schools that were previously judged to be outstanding. They do not plan on recommencing inspections until September, but we anticipate that our school will be inspected during the next academic year.

September New Starters

We are aware that some families of children due to start school next September may have missed the deadline for applications which has now passed. Currently, our Reception intake in September is not full, and so if you know someone who might have missed the application and needs a school place please encourage them to apply. Governors will consider late applications.

The PTA will hold a virtual meeting next Thursday, 13th May at 7.30pm. Everybody is welcome to attend. We will discuss possible fundraising activities that could be planned this year. If you would like a link to the meeting, please contact the office.
