Week of October 4th, 2021

From Mrs. Flemming

The PBIS store was a hit and our SC Campers are more excited than ever to earn their TRRFCC tickets for future event and store items. A big thank you to those parents that volunteered their time this week to help Ms. Terrett and also supplied additional items for the store.

Things are slowly returning to normal in Azle and our COVID numbers are at an all time low. We're excited to be able to open our doors to the community and be able to move forward with our plans for the year. Please note the following big events coming up for SCE.

Reminders:

  • October 26: Pajama Jam - Literacy Night (5:00-6:00PM)**

  • October 26: 2nd Grade Performance (6:00-6:30)**

  • November 8-12: Book Fair!
  • November 9: Thanksgiving Lunch for last names (A-L)**
  • November 10: Thanksgiving Lunch for last names (M-Z)**
  • November 11: Veteran's Day Parade

There will be several times throughout the year that your student's homeroom teacher may need a little extra help in the classroom too. Individual teachers will reach out to their parents for these events.

Please rememebr that whenever you are on campus you must check in and out through the front office with your photo ID. You will be given a sticker to wear while on campus and return when you leave. Thank you for helping us to keep SC safe!

Next week is Spirit Week as we get ready to support our Hornets at Homecoming this Friday. Please see the theme days listed below.

Counselor's Corner

The kids were so excited to spend their tickets at the store this week! We want to give a huge thank you to the parents who volunteered to help, and to those who donated items for the store. You guys are amazing!

We will recognize student successes from the first 9 weeks on October 13th during specials, and our next event will be on November 12th. For the event, students can pay 50 tickets to attend our Mini Fall Festival. Both of these days will be House Spirit Dress-up days. Our character trait for October will be Responsibility, which is the first letter “R” in our TRRFCC tickets. We are also learning how to be Hornets with Hearts, so ask your student about that at home. I’m so proud of our Silver Creek CHAMPS!
