Austin Figure Skating Club
Newsletter - July 2020
President's Note
Hello Austin Figure Skating Club,
As we begin a new season in these trying times, it is difficult to imagine the limited time on the ice for our club members. But, there is a silver lining… We have adapted to a new normal type of training: Off-Ice training seems to be the new craze around the world. Some of them are free and some are at a very low cost.
We have worked hard to offer, and will continue offering, training with Olympic Level Coaches and Coaches with specialized expertise such as Jump Techniques, Yoga sessions, Dance & Choreography, etc. This month, AFSC is excited to offer a session with the renowned Sports Psychologist Dr. Caroline Silby (more information about this to come). All of these sessions are available to all our club members.
Congratulations to all of our 2019-2020 Graduates. We are very proud of you! Please let us know your post-graduation plans. We would like to announce them on our website.
Lastly, AFSC would like to hear your ideas or suggestions for future sessions. Please email them to contact@afsctx.org.
Until next time,
Cindy Chapa
AFSC President
