Kansas Assessment Tickets
For 3rd - 5th grade teachers:
Your BLT rep will have the Kansas Assessment tickets today as the Kansas State Assessment window opens next Thursday. Please check and make sure that all of you students have a ticket as soon as you can (before the first day of testing). Hold onto these through your testing period and then shred them.
For those that are testing in the computer lab for the assessments, Amy and Aimee have been working diligently to make sure that the KITE and NWEA site in on the computers, so thank you! If you are testing on your iPads, I know that a couple of teachers are having the students keep their iPads at school a day or two prior to the testing period to ensure that the iPads are charged and ready for the assessment. I am totally fine with that, but in between and after the assessments, please continue to send them home with students every night. Also, we do not have extra iPads if someone forgets theirs, but you are welcome to check with Amy because she is able to charge iPads in her office if you are in a bind.
Andrea or I will send out the daily access code to you when we receive it (usually at around 3:00 the day before testing). Please make sure that you have read through the Kansas Assessment information that has been provided to you before you test. Any q’s, let me know.

Testing Tidbits
If you are testing on the iPads: please have their students try to get onto the internet before they start testing—they could try Class Link or some other website they use, just to make sure there are not any WiFi issues. As you know, sometimes it takes you turning off and on the wifi or the iPad to connect. It would be great to try and figure it out before you start testing and would have to turn an iPad off and on in the middle of a test.
If you are testing in the computer lab: there is copy of the testing schedule in the lab, so if you are the last class that is in there testing for the day. please shut down all of the computers. There are Kleenex and hand sanitizer in there. Once your class is lined up after the test, please use the spray bottle and do a quick spray of the keyboards and mouse. The custodians will do a deep clean in the evening.
