Big News for the Gr. 4 Students
The 4th grade will be visiting the Intermediate School from 1:00-2:15 next Friday, May 20th. They will have lunch, recess, ask questions of a student forum and me, and have a tour. Parent tours will happen on the hour and half hour beginning at 9:00 and ending at 11:00. Thanks Mr. Posick!
Our PTO is the BEST!
It started out this week with a terrific banner to welcome our staff as they entered the main entrance. Plenty of SMACK! POW! BOOM! were sprinkled around the school! The kids were writing Superhero notes to their teachers, aides, and support staff. The lunch with all of the fixin's was soooo delicious! The most fun and talked about part of the week was the framed Superhero pictures of the staff! My Oh My! The smiles and comments were terrific! Many thanks!

What an Assembly! WOW! Can you believe who was here?
Our assembly was full of fun! Ms. Carolyn from the North Lake Library cheered us on to visit this summer. The Box Tops Champs were announced and Mrs. Baral's 4k kids brought in 883 boxtops. Sweet! Our 4th Gr. Principals Council gave us memories of the Primary School years. Finally, a real superhero joined us-BATMAN was there to share his thougths on TEAMWORK, RESPECT, and FRIENDS! What a blast!

Fire Drill
Each month we practice evacuating our school in the event of a fire or an accident that requires this action. Today, under the watchful eye of the Merton Fire Dept, our school was empty in 70 seconds. Roll calls were taken to be sure we were all out! I am proud of our students and staff!

Here is our special guest meeting and greeting a young boy who wants to ask Batman a question. It was a special moment.
