Special Virtual Education Survey
Brooks Academies of Texas Information for Parents
Possible Virtual Education Opportunities
Senate Bill 15 would allow Brooks to provide virtual classes for some students. All students are invited to continue their in-person attendance; however, students who wish to attend virtually must meet certain conditions according to the law.
If you are interested in virtual education for your child, please complete this survey: https://forms.gle/SJcMTnwXgLWBPe586
You must complete one survey for each child who wishes to attend virtually.
If your child(ren) will continue attending in person, you do NOT NEED TO COMPLETE THE FORM.
For students who wish to attend virtually, Senate Bill 15 requires that they meet the following conditions:
1. The student must have attended 90% of their classes last year.
2. The student must have received a passing grade in Math, English Language Arts/Reading, Science and Social Studies.
3. The student must have passed the STAAR test if they were in grade 3, grade 5 or grade 8 last year.
The schools are only allowed to provide virtual learning to 10% of the students, so please be sure to fill out the form is you are interested.
We will continue to provide information as we receive it from the Governor's office. If you have questions in the meantime, please email me at Lisa.Schutz@brooksacademy.org
Thank you for your patience and support during this difficult time!
