The Lincoln Lightning
"Your SPARK of information!"
September 17th, 2021
We finished our first full week of school and I couldn't be more proud of our students and staff. We continue to look to our district theme of 'Growing Stronger Together' as we think about the goals we are setting for the upcoming year.
I've had the opportunity to engage in activities in all of our classrooms this week, and whether students are learning about mathematics, language arts, Spanish, or science... I'm noticing that they are doing this learning as a classroom community. One of the things we value most about being back in school together is the opportunity to engage in ''discourse'. Discourse is a verbal exchange of ideas. It's with this sharing and with targeted discussions that we learn and grow.
The thoughts and ideas shared by our students fill my heart with joy, hope, and inspiration. They are insightful, thoughtful, funny, and kind. What an amazing group of students they are!
Have an incredible week and I hope to see you tonight at our Back to School BBQ! *It's not too late if you want to attend - tickets will be available at the event!
