THANK YOU!

We would like to thank those of you who attended “Meet the Teacher Night”. It was a pleasure speaking with you all and we look forward to meeting the parents who were unable to attend. Secondly, the school year is off to a smooth start!

Thank you for checking the students’ planners on a daily basis. It is very helpful for us to know that you understand what the students are expected to be working on. Please let us know if the amount of work assigned is taking an inordinate amount of time to complete, keeping in mind the following points:

·Math homework is assigned approximately daily.

·Social Studies and Science assignments, when assigned, are due the next day.

•ELA homework varies depending on the unit of instruction

We understand that time management is something that is learned and comes easier to some of us than others. We are working hard at having each of the students write down the daily assignments. Anything you can do to establish and reinforce time management and organizational skills as well as personal responsibility is greatly appreciated!

Please make sure that your child has an established homework time and location for which to do the work free from distractions as well as routines for organizing that work.

Thank you for all of your time and support in your child’s life and education. We could not accomplish what we do without you.

Happy Autumn!
