Environmental sustainability
Solar Energy
Many people have been switching to solar energy to preserve energy and taking action to protect the natural environment. This benefits not only the family of the homes, but the environment as well by not polluting the atmosphere with greenhouse gases.
Climate Change
As you can see this polar bear is hanging on to a piece of ice. The northern caps in the world have been melting due to the global warming effect. This could change if we start changing our resource consumption and go down a more eco-friendly path.
Recycling
Recycling can help reduce the amount of waste being dropped in land fills and the ocean. This helps the Earth by not taking up space where animals could be thriving and not leaking any sort of hazardous chemicals into the ground.
Land Pollution
Land pollution has been a persistent issue around today and will keep on increasing as long as people are around. In this image, these people are cleaning up the pollution around the beach which will benefit the animals around there and the economic revenue of the beach.
Water Pollution
Water pollution is another major issue around today as well because of all the negative impacts it has on the food chain and the health of many organisms. Cleaning up the pollution in the water would be the first steps to action before any more urgent issue arise such as the rate of eutrophication.
Air pollution
Air pollution is one of the biggest issues out of these three different types of pollution. As the world keeps on industrializing and focused on bettering cities with new technological innovations, the natural world is taking the downfall. Air pollution is what leads to many of these other issues such as climate change. By switching to a more eco-friendly energy usage, the amount of air pollution can be limited throughout time.
Biodiversity
Preserving the biodiversity is important as well because this has to do with keeping the Earth clean. When we prevent places from being polluted, we maintain that area's biodiversity and keep the animals there thriving and living a natural life.
Resource Use
When it comes to using resources, fishing is a great way to impact the world positively. But there are some negative implications, such as over fishing an area where the whole species of an organism could potentially be wiped out or nearly endangered. By maintaining several laws in place, this will help prevent those issues from arising and keep the food chain in place.
