A Note From The Principal
Dorr Families,
November is upon us already!! This month our Capturing Kids Hearts theme is TEAMWORK.
“Teamwork is the ability to work in unity with others towards a common goal. For us to learn how to become team players, it is important that we learn to listen, encourage our peers, and allow and invite others to contribute their talents and skills.”
We are teaching students to demonstrate TEAMWORK in school, and support TEAMWORK with parents. You are vital to our success! Below are the links for families to support our theme at home.
Have a wonderful day,
Mrs. Seniura
Student Of The Month
October - Self Direct
In October the focus was on "Self Direction".
Self-Direction is the ability and learned skill to cast a vision of future goals and then take intentional steps toward who, where, and what we want to be. Instead of focusing on things to control or avoid, we emphasize our responsibility to make positive choices related to our emotions, attitudes, and actions.

Artist Corner
Distinguished Artist
Dorr Elementary has a Distinguished Artist Program in which student artwork is on display like an art gallery for the school year. Each year 9 students are chosen as a Distinguished Artist. The Distinguished Artist is a student who is responsible in art, shows their creativity and works hard on all projects. Ms. Corcoran chooses 3-4 pieces of artwork in which the students followed directions and completed the project adding their creativity. A committee of staff then votes on the projects to choose a winner.
Congratulations Chryslin Kuhlmann!
Chryslin did a beautiful painting of a cat peeking out of a pumpkin. Every week in art Chryslin shows up ready to try her best. She is a very talented artist who puts in hard work on each of her assignments. Chrylsin always has a can do attitude in art and puts a creative spin on her projects. Thank you for being such a superstar artist Chryslin!
