We will have an Open House on Thursday, August 25 to give families an opportunity to get to know your child's teacher better and also get important information to make a successful year.

We will offer two sessions: 5:30 and 6:15 to accommodate families with more than one student.

You will meet in your child's classroom and receive important information of how to make this a successful year for your student. In addition, we will provide information about the Title I program at Port Royal Elementary School.

It is so important to attend school every day on time.

Homerooms start class daily at 7:45 with a morning meeting.

Your child is marked tardy if he/she is not in the CLASSROOM by 7:45.

Our doors open at 7:15.

If your child is a carrider; please drop off by 7:30 to eat a school breakfast. This will allow them just enough time to eat and get to the classroom by 7:45.

Homerooms will compete to see who has the best attendance each week. We will celebrate top winners each quarter with an ice cream social! Help your child's homeroom be a winner by setting goals for to attend school each day unless there is a medical excused absence.

Do you want to help with field day, crew rally, or crew incentives?

If so, you will need to complete the BCSD volunteer application. It's best to do it now so you are ready when an opportunity to volunteer comes up. (they do expire... call Mrs. Simmons in the front office to find out if you need to update your volunteer status)
