Kids' Book Collection for Vickery
Spring cleaning? Why not put your new or gently used children’s books into the hands of young readers in the Vickery area? Studies show that kids who read at least six books over the summer are much more likely to stay on target for reading development. The Library is collecting new or gently used children’s books to donate to Vickery Meadow Youth Development Foundation (VMYDF or www.vmydf.com). Now through May 10, you can drop off books at the PCBC Library or at donation bins located by the Information Centers in the Activities Building, the Commons and the Narthex. Contact Emily Martin, elmartin@pcbc.org 214-860-3993 for more information.
There are at least 10,000 homeless people in Dallas, and PCBC has been invited to help The SoupMobile Church to put a Bible in the hands of every one of them!
Bring your Bibles – new or gently used, any version, any language – to the PCBC Library. You can also drop them off in the bins marked for “Children’s Books.” If you would like to donate money to the cause, we can work with SoupMobile to purchase Bibles.
SoupMobile Church is the “home” church for the homeless in Dallas, Texas. SoupMobile Church is non-denominational but 100% Jesus based. See more at their website: http://www.soupmobile.org.
