Vivian Banks Charter Weekly Update - October 4, 2021

Principal's Message

Vivian Banks Families,

Thank you to all who joined us on August 28th for our Fireside Chat with Superintendent Clevenger. It was a outstanding meeting where we discussed many of the positive things happening at VBCS to support our students and families. Participants also shared ideas regarding additional ways we can support our students and help them reach their full potential. Thank you to Ms. Renee Riggs who graciously donated pizza for the event. Again, thank you to all for making this such a special event!

Teaching and Learning

Student of the Month

The fifth grade is delighted to have Maddison Bergeron Trujillo as Vivian Banks Student of the Month for September . Maddie has a big heart and lots of spirit! Selfless, caring, and hardworking are just a few ways to describe what a great student she is. Maddie consistently puts the best interest of others ahead her own by being respectful. She is a friend to all and offers a helping hand to any student or teacher in need. She rises above challenges and pushes herself and others to keep working hard. Maddie is a responsible student who learns with such electricity. She takes charge though positive interactions like sharing new ideas, adding to the classroom discussion, raising awareness of where mistakes can happen, but she is also learning from those mistakes to do better. She has such great excitement as she does her best work. The best part is that Maddie does all of this with a contagious spirit of positivity that influences other to do the same. She is a leader and a friend and we are proud to have Maddie represent our class and school as our student of the month.

September Perfect Attendance Students

Congratulations to all of our students who demonstrated perfect attendance for the entire month of September! Research indicates a high positive correlation between: attendance and academic success, attendance and school completion, and poor attendance and dropping out.

Thank you for your continued effort to insure you student/s are arriving at school everyday on time. If all of us make this a top priority we can insure that all VBCS students receive the best academic program available.

Health and Saftey

Bonsall Unified School District will partner with Fallbrook Regional Health as well as Champions for Health to host a COVID-19 Vaccination and Health Clinic. This will take place on Saturday, October 30th. All three vaccines will be available.
