We hope you are doing well as the start of this new semester, and that you've already made plans to connect with the Career Center at some point. If you haven't, please see below for upcoming events! Over the next month, we've got some great Career Center workshops and other opportunities intended to help you all with networking and thinking about your majors and careers. Intern For A Day!

How can I participate?

  1. Attend a mandatory orientation session: During this orientation session, we will discuss a multitude of issues ranging from expectations, to what you should wear, to the employer visit. In addition, you will sign a waiver to participate in the program. Orientation sessions will be offered on the following dates:

    Orientation Sessions
    February 10 - 4pm until 5pm - MLC - Room 150 - RSVP via Facebook
    February 11 - 4pm until 5pm - MLC - Room 171 - RSVP via Facebook
    February 15 - 4pm until 5pm - MLC - Room 148 - RSVP via Facebook
    February 16 - 4pm until 5pm - MLC - Room 171 - RSVP via Facebook


  2. Apply on DAWGlink at www.career.uga.edu between February 10th and February 18th, 2016. Deadline will be 11:59pm on February 18th.

Kali DeWald

CAREER CONSULTANT FOR UNDECIDED STUDENTS

Kali DeWald works with all students exploring majors at The University of Georgia. She enjoys the full exploration process, especially helping students discover their interests, strengths, and values as they relate to majors and careers. She holds an M.S. in Counseling and a B.A. in Anthropology from San Francisco State University. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and is also certified in the Strong Interest Inventory instrument. Currently, she serves as a member of the Career Center’s Diversity Committee, and is a liaison with the LGBT Resource Center. Kali is also a board member of the Georgia Career Development Association.

  • Drop by Kali's Satellite Hours on Mondays from 3:00pm until 5:00pm in Brumby Hall
  • Visit the Career Center Computer Lab in Clark Howell for Walk-In Hours. Kali typically covers Walk-In Hours on Mondays from 12:00pm until 2:00pm

Suzanne Voigt

SUZANNE VOIGT


CAREER CONSULTANT FOR UNDECIDED/UNDECLARED, FINE ARTS, and ECOLOGY STUDENTS

Suzanne began working at the University of Georgia Career Center in December 2012 and is the Career Consultant for:

  • Undecided/Undeclared Students
  • Fine Arts Students in Franklin College of Arts and Sciences
  • Ecology Students in the Odum School of Ecology

Before moving to Georgia, Suzanne received her Master of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University. In addition, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Language French (minors: Art, Music, & Business) from Queens University of Charlotte and is currently pursuing her PhD in Counseling and Student Personnel Services at the University of Georgia.
