Week of May 16 - May 20
Life Principle of the Week
“It is not where you start; it's where you end up. You haven't failed until you've stopped trying.” - Author Unknown
The Week in Review
Well, we did it! We have completed all of our STAAR testing for the year! We spent the last few weeks diving into an array of concepts from life science, to earth science, to physical science. We hit each one with the critical concepts and vocabulary, and covered questions from those topics that could be asked on the test. Our work required a great amount of mental fortitude and strength, and I am so proud of the work these kids put in over the last three weeks!
In Social Studies, every student proposed a 28th Amendment to the Constitution. The amendments were great! Below were the winners!
5A - Whiskers - prohibited the hunting and killing of wild animals
5B - Juice - provided specific care for the poor, elderly, and homeless.
5E - Fish - banned genetically modified foods
Congratulations to all the winners as well as every one who proposed an amendment! They really were all spectacular!
