How Can You Help?

For Those Looking to Donate to the Snohomish Book Cafe

People Have Asked How They Can Help

Many people have contacted the Snohomish Book Cafe, wanting to know how they can support getting books into the hands of kids. First, a heart-felt THANK YOU for all of the support! And second, there are multiple ways people can help support our book mobile. Anything & everything is greatly appreciated!

You Are Welcome To Donate Books, Money, & Gift Cards

Donating New & Gently Used Books

If you have books you would like to donate to kids, we would love to have them! We are looking for new & gently used books for kids ages 3-13. Board books, picture books, chapter books, magazines, activity books, informational books, graphic novels, young-adult books... anything that would appeal to a child. With our schools being closed for the summer, the best location for dropping books off would be at the Snohomish School District Office (1601 Avenue D, Snohomish). Summer hours for the office are Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-5:00pm.

Donating Money

The Snohomish Education Foundation is the phenomenal organization that has made this dream of supporting readers during summer vacation a reality. If you would like to donate money to the Snohomish Book Cafe, you are welcome to send either a check or donate online. Money donated to the Book Cafe will go to purchasing gas for the book mobile as well as purchasing books for kids.

Online donations can be made on the Snohomish Education Foundation's website and then donors may designate the fund of the Book Cafe. If you would like to send a check, please make checks out to SEF and note in the memo on the check that the funds are for the Book Cafe. The Snohomish Education Foundation Tax ID is #91-1363896. Checks may be sent to:

P.O. Box 1312
Snohomish, WA 98291-1312

Donating Gift Cards

Some people feel more comfortable donating gift cards and we are happy to help! If you would like to donate a gift card to the Snohomish Book Cafe, gift cards for local gas stations are always welcome. Diesel gas prices add up quickly as we travel from neighborhood to neighborhood each week! Other gift card ideas include gift cards for Half-Price Books, Barnes & Noble, and the University (UW) Book Store. We also have a group of kids that ask for activity books each week... Target or Fred Meyer's gift cards could easily purchase some activity books for them. Receipts from gift card purchases can be sent back to the donor for proof of purchase.

Gift cards can be sent to:
