Best Memories of 16-17

  • All the cool stuff that God gave me to go in the Library with Our kids! From a Huge Real Caterpillar, costumes, rabbits, and a Star Wars fight with Darth Vader! It is all a God Thing!!

  • Getting to help House of Wit decorate for our very first House celebration…and then seeing the kids’ reactions when they walked in the next morning!

  • My baby shower!

  • Leading my 2nd and 3rd grade dancers in a skip-a-long around the play structures during field day! Also had a great time being Edwin's buddy on the field trip to Disney on Ice! So I guess that's like, 2 favorite memories..... :)

  • While playing charades with Mrs. Lopez and acting out verbs, one of my students was pretending to sit in a chair. Trying to guess the verb, another student so very seriously shouted out, “Laying an egg!” It was hilarious and by far one of my favorite moments from this year!

  • My favorite memories from this year are the handwritten notes that students have given me. Their sweet words warm my heart.

  • It’s so hard to pick just I’m just going to say making learning come alive with my grade level.

  • Seeing one of my students' faces when a teacher from our school got them a Mickey mouse hat from Disney!

  • Yesterday I was waiting for the bell to wring. My students were packed up and we were just standing around talking and laughing. I had a student hop on the table I was sitting on and put his head on my shoulder he proceeded to tell me, “ Miss. Ross I am not ready to leave you” This is what being a hawk teacher is about. Building a relationship with your students while they learn.

  • When my students could finally hear rhyming words (just a few weeks ago). J

  • The pure joy and excitement on my student’s faces when experiencing their first Field Day and celebrating holidays together as a classroom family.

  • Watching a students face light up when he realized he moved from a reading level 6 to a 30!!!!

  • I love when the teachers dress up for house day and silly dress up days. The kids love it and I have a great time picking out my outfits!
