Science, Social Studies and Language Arts

In science, we are learning about force and motion; and in social studies, we continue to expand our learning about Bransford's community. This week, Bransford's school nurse Mrs. HImmelberg, visited with our students about her job and how she helps keep Bransford's community healthy. Next week, we will have firefighters visit with the students! How does this impact Language Arts? Well, all of this learning is integrated into reading and writing. You will be able to see all of this wonderful work during Open House on March 3rd!

Sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of practice on a daily basis to make things that are challenging become really easy! Recognizing the counting pattern is an essential component of a young child's number sense development. Your child is expected to count by 1's up to 100 from any given number. He/she is also expected to count backward from 20 this grading period. Correctly writing numbers from 1-20 is an expectation, too. Mastery is achieved when a student is able to consistently meet the standard.
