We will work on writing expository essays.
Social Studies:
We will explore how Mexico gained it's independence in what is now Texas.
Homework (There was a mix up with copying so the homework is the same as last week...I just told the students to do it again this week.)

Social Studies~Work on Native American Diorama.
Spelling~Write spelling words five times each.
Tuesday:
Writing~Day 2
Social Studies~Work on Native American Diorama.
Spelling~Use each spelling word in a simple sentence.
Wednesday:
Writing~Day 3
Social Studies~Work on Native American Diorama.
Spelling~ Write words in alphabetical order.
Thursday:
Writing~Day 4 and the assessment on the back
Social Studies~Work on Native American Diorama.
Spelling~Written Practice test.

Red Ribbon Week
Monday~Elect to be drug free! Wear red, white, and blue.
Tuesday~To bright for drugs! Wear neon colors and sunglasses.
Wednesday~Team up against drugs! Wear a t-shirt or jersey of your favorite sports team.
Thursday~ Burton is drug free from head to toe! Wear your favorite pair of crazy socks and hair.
***This is the day we go on the field trip so please make sure your child wears their Burton spirit shirt too.***
Friday~Mask out drugs! Wear your favorite costume. ***No masks, blood, gore, or weapons please!***
October 29th is the fourth grade field trip to Bayou Wildlife Zoo in Alvin, TX.
**If you are interested in being a chaperon, please make sure your go to www.fortbendisd.com and fill out a volunteer form. FYI...You will be responsible for your own transportation and admission to the Wildlife Zoo.
