COMPOST BIN
We will demonstrate and explain the cycling of matter within living systems, such as in the decay of biomass in a compost bin
Guided Question:
How is matter cycled through living systems?
Information:
Over time, matter is transferred from one organism to another as well as with its physical environment. The total amount of matter remains constant even though its form and location may change.
Remember the Law of Conservation of Mass?
It states that the energy cannot be destroy or created. It can only be transferred.
The total amount of matter remains constant (the same) even though it has changed shape, size, or chemical makeup.
