Ageing Well in Leeds
A one day conference and event
A one day conference and event, in two parts to engage both practitioners/professionals and older citizens of Leeds.
The aim is to ensure that organisations work together effectively and improve on outcomes being delivered for older people that include access to good information, improved health and wellbeing, dignity and addressing inequality.
Developing the ageing well programme will not only improve services for older people in Leeds, it will also work alongside older people to change attitudes towards ageing; allow ageing to be seen as a positive experience and emphasise the contribution that older people make to society.
The morning session is a half-day conference with speakers and a panel discussion.
The second part of the event will be aimed at the general public, and will be a showcase event, with stalls and taster sessions, also in Leeds Museum. We will aim to inform and entertain with a variety of fun activities.
