Reflection 14
Replying to Reflection 7
95% of students have some sort of technology devices, even if it's just a cell phone.
Cons of using technology in my classroom (such as FakeBook)
1. Technology can be a distraction
2. Possible disconnect of social interaction
3. Technology can foster more cheating in class and on assignments
4. Students do not have equal access to technological resources (some students may not have internet access at home whereas others might)
5. The quality of research and sources they find may not be in our eyes "top-notch"
6. Lesson planning can become more labor intensive with technology (It will eventually become more natural to me or any educator with time)

Pros of using technology in my classroom (such as FakeBook)
1. Using technology allows me to experiment more with my pedagogy, and effectively design and execute a class guided with technology.
2. There are countless resources for enhancing students education and making learning more fun and effective with technology
3. Technology can automate a lot of your tedious tasks
4. My classroom would have instant access to information that can supplement their learning experience
5. Students can learn life skills through technology (ie. creating presentations, learning to differentiate reliable from unreliable sources, maintaining proper online etiquette, and writing emails...)
6. We live in a digital world, chances are students will start teaching me how to use certain technology, rather than me teaching.
