Summer Teacher Workshops
4 FREE Workshops to help incorporate SAMR into your lessons!
Using Google Forms in the Classroom - June 10
Did you know that Google Apps are FREE and apart of your RCSD email? In this workshop we are going to discuss Google Forms to help create multimedia reviews and quizzes as well as other elements of a Flipped Classroom. By MODIFYING simple things like quizzes, homework, and test reviews - you can take small element into a SAMR lesson.
Quicktime Screen Recording - June 24
One easy way to flip your classroom is to use Quicktime Player 10 to “screen record” your lectures. Since we are MAC users, this simple and yet powerful tool allows you to record your lecture just as if you were giving it in the classroom. You can present your PowerPoint, show your syllabus, or even visit web pages and you control the lecture and the recording process with very simple tools. This will be helpful for those students who "can't" make it to school to stay on top of their work or for those days you are out of the classroom.
Google Docs and Google Calendar - July 8
THE PAPERLESS CLASSROOM!!! Tired of all the piles of paperwork on your desk? Schoolwires calendar taking too long to update? Using Google Apps will help eliminate some of your daily paperwork. Also, it is a great way for students to collaborate during assignments.
Podcasting in the Classroom - July 22
Redefinition is a hard level to reach in the SAMR required lesson plan elements; however, there is a quick and easy way to achieve it - PODCASTING. Podcast socratic seminars or debates in the classroom and share on iTunes so that other schools can join in on the conversation.
