As with most of the Early colonies there was a lot of influence from the English Church. Most of the colonies were always in connection with them but in Maryland there was a toleration act for most christians.

Whats with the name?!

Was named after this because it was originally part of Massachusetts and Massachusetts was set up for the british so i would be natural for it to have an english name.
