Tiger Teacher Topics of the Week
Mrs. Jester's Math
In sixth grade Pre-AP Pre-Algebra, we will be starting our unit that deals with measures of central tendency.
"Hey diddle diddle, the median's in the middle; you add and divide for the mean. The mode is the one that appears the most and the range is the difference between."
In sixth grade math, we will be finishing our unit on ratios. We will also be converting measurements within the metric and customary systems. When changing from one unit to another, your student might find this phrase helpful.
"Horse to fly, multiply...Fly to horse divide of course."
Ask your student what this means! Your student should expect a test over this unit sometime next week.
Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Turnbow's Math
Mrs. Reynolds' Spanish
I hope you are hearing a few Spanish words at home these days! We will be practicing introductions and some essential questions and how to answer them. We will move on to subject pronouns and our first verb very soon.
Ms. Jasper's Science
This week we will be starting Chapter 5, and beginning our Life Science unit. We will start working on notes and vocab for Lesson 1, and we will do a few activities.
Just a reminder for this week:
