Nau mai Haere mai Welcome ~ Sarah Morris, Principal
Congratulations to the Trinder Whānau
On behalf of the Frankley School staff I would like to say a massive congratulations to Anna and Rangi Trinder. They will be welcoming a new baby in September. We will confirm the date when Anna will be taking maternity leave however can happily say that Mrs Tania Scott will be working in Tūhono during her leave. Tania is currently on staff and knows many of the children and systems in Tūhono. This will ensure a smooth transition.
Paid Union Meeting
Next Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th at 1.30pm our teachers will be attending paid union meetings. The Frankley School Board of Trustees has agreed to keep our school open during this time. Your children will remain in their hubs with teaching and support staff.
Please be aware we are fighting for significant enhancements to resourcing for schools and that this is not simply a pay dispute. Thank you for support during this time.
Swimming Pool Closure
Golf
Congratulations to our students who gave golf a go last week at the North Taranaki golf day. They displayed a super attitude towards a new experience. Shyla was the only girl in her 'league' with a golf handicap but her Dad was really impressed by how she persevered even when the course was new to her and tough. Dante was completely new to this and his mum said the organiser was extremely patient and helpful.
