Sibley East Elementary - November 14-18, 2022
Kindergarten Grandparent/VIP Day this Week!
The Sibley East Elementary Youth Development welcomes the grandparents/VIPs of our Kindergarten classes this week! Each day from 2:30-2:55 PM a different class will get to make some special memories with their treasured guest(s) in our commons area.
Monday - Mrs. Sylvester
Tuesday - Mrs. Brandt
Wednesday - Mrs. Flieth
Thursday - Mrs. Bergs
Parents/Guardians:
- Please help remind grandparents/VIPs to bring a government issued ID in order to obtain their visitor badge through our Raptor system.
- Want to save them from having to stand in line on the day of the event?! We are able to print their visitor badge prior to the event if we have the guest's full name and date of birth. This can be emailed to either Marge (marge.erickson@sibleyeast.org) or Lorie (lorie.thomes@sibleyeast.org).
Veteran's Day
Handbook Highlight: Outdoor Recess
We understand that it may be necessary, on occasion, for students to stay in for health reasons. If that is the case, a parent/guardian written request is needed for a child to remain inside at recess, and a doctor’s excuse will be expected if a student needs to stay in for more than two days.
E-Learning Guide & Video for Families
Homeroom teachers distributed the E-Learning Packets for Days 1 & 2 during Parent-Teacher conferences last week. If you did not receive your child's, please contact the teacher.
5th Grade: Eagle Bluff Updates
- The weather forecast for Lanesboro this week is C-H-I-L-L-Y! As such, please be sure to help your child pack lots of warm layers. You might also consider purchasing several of those hand or toe warmers meant for one-time use.
- If you still owe money and/or forms for the Eagle Bluff field trip, please send with your child this week.
- Room assignments and chaperone groups were shared with students and adults on Friday.
- There will be a luggage drop option on Tuesday, November 15 from 5:00-6:00 PM so that students do not have to try and haul everything on their bus ride to school that morning. The luggage trailer will be in the south parking lot at the elementary school.
- We will get back from Eagle Bluff at approximately 3:45 PM on Friday, November 18. As such, we will not be back in time for students to ride the regular bus route. Children will need to be picked up by a family member or friend. Start planning now!
