Hello LVES Families! This week’s guidance lesson was about what it means to show and have Gratitude. Children learn respect and how to show appreciation to others from parents, as parents are their first role models. Show your child the importance of saying thank you to those that are serving you, helping you, or when you notice someone’s effort to do something.
When children understand what it means to be grateful for what they have, it can have a positive effect on their attitude and perspective. At home, think about starting a gratitude journal with your child. Get a blank notebook (I have many--if you’d like for me to send one home with your child, let me know!) and work together to design it. Each night, or as often as possible, spend time together adding the things you are thankful for.
“Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you'll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you'll find that you have more of it.” ~Ralph Marston
~Ralph Marston

New CDC Guidelines for Fully Vaccinated Persons
Now that vaccinations for Covid are more available, it's good to know how they affect your need to quarantine if exposed to Covid.
People who are fully vaccinated (2 weeks after their last dose in the series) do not need to quarantine after a close contact.
Unlike people who have only a 90 day window of immunity after testing positive, fully vaccinated people are not limited to 90 days.
As it is still early in our vaccination experience, the CDC will continue to evaluate how long the protection lasts, but for now, it is considered ongoing!
Click here for the full guidelines.
